Yath± j±tijar±sabh±v± j±tijar±pakatik± satt± j±tidhamm± jar±dhamm±ti vuccanti eva½ vip±kajanakaµµhena vip±kasabh±v± vip±kapakatik± dhamm±ti attho. Tatiyapada½ ubhayasabh±vapaµikkhepavasena vutta½.
4. Up±dinnup±d±niyattike ±rammaºakaraºavasena taºh±diµµh²hi upetena kammun± ±dinn±, phalabh±vena gahit±ti up±dinn±. ¾rammaºabh±va½ upagantv± up±d±nasambandhena up±d±n±na½ hit±ti up±d±niy±. Up±d±nassa ±rammaºapaccayabh³t±nameta½ adhivacana½. Up±diºº± ca te up±d±niy± c±ti up±diººup±d±niy±; s±savakammanibbatt±na½ r³p±r³padhamm±nameta½ adhivacana½. 5. Sa½kiliµµhasa½kilesikattike sa½kileset²ti sa½kileso, vib±dhati, upat±peti c±ti attho. Sa½kilesena samann±gat±ti sa½kiliµµh±. Att±na½ ±rammaºa½ katv± pavattanena sa½kilesa½ arahanti sa½kilese v± niyutt±, tassa ±rammaºabh±v±natikkamanatoti sa½kilesik±. Sa½kilesassa ±rammaºapaccayabh³t±nameta½ adhivacana½. Sa½kiliµµh± ca te sa½kilesik± c±ti sa½kiliµµhasa½kilesik±. Sesapadadvayampi purimattike vuttanayeneva veditabba½.
6. Vitakkattike sampayogavasena vattam±nena saha vitakkena savitakk±. Saha vic±rena savic±r±. Savitakk± ca te savic±r± c±ti savitakkasavic±r±. Ubhayarahit± avitakka-avic±r±. Vitakkavic±resu vic±rova matt±, pam±ºa½, etesanti vic±ramatt±. Vic±rato uttari vitakkena saddhi½ sampayoga½ na gacchant²ti attho. Avitakk± ca te vic±ramatt± c±ti avitakkavic±ramatt±.
7. P²tittike p²tiy± saha ekupp±d±dibh±va½ gat±ti p²tisahagat±, p²tisampayutt±ti attho. Sesapadadvayepi eseva nayo. Upekkh±ti cettha adukkhamasukh± vedan± vutt±. S± hi sukhadukkh±k±rappavatti½ upekkhati, majjhatt±k±rasaºµhitatt± ten±k±rena pavattat²ti upekkh±. Iti vedan±ttikato padadvayameva gahetv± nipp²tikassa sukhassa sapp²tikasukhato visesadassanavasena aya½ tiko vutto.
8. Dassanattike dassanen±ti sot±pattimaggena. So hi paµhama½ nibb±na½ dassanato dassananti vutto. Gotrabhu pana kiñc±pi paµhamatara½ passati, yath± pana rañño santika½ kenacideva karaº²yena ±gato puriso d³ratova rathik±ya caranta½ hatthikkhandhagata½ r±j±na½ disv±pi ‘diµµho te r±j±’ti puµµho disv±pi kattabbakiccassa akatatt± ‘na pass±m²’ti ±ha. Evameva nibb±na½ disv±pi kattabbassa kilesappah±nass±bh±v± na dassananti vuccati. Tañhi ñ±ºa½ maggassa ±vajjanaµµh±ne tiµµhati. Bh±van±y±ti sesamaggattayena. Sesamaggattayañhi paµhamamaggena diµµhasmi½yeva dhamme bh±van±vasena uppajjati, adiµµhapubba½ kiñci na passati, tasm± bh±van±ti vuccati. Tatiyapada½ ubhayapaµikkhepavasena vutta½.
9. Tadanantarattike dassanena pah±tabbo hetu etesanti dassanena pah±tabbahetuk±. Dutiyapadepi eseva nayo. Tatiyapade neva dassanena na bh±van±ya pah±tabbo hetu etesanti evamattha½ aggahetv± neva dassanena na bh±van±ya pah±tabbo hetu etesa½ atth²ti evamattho gahetabbo Itarath± hi ahetuk±na½ aggahaºa½ bhaveyya; hetuyeva hi tesa½ natthi yo dassanabh±van±hi pah±tabbo siy±. Sahetukesupi hetuvajj±na½ pah±na½ ±pajjati, na het³na½; hetuyeva hi etesa½ ‘neva dassanena na bh±van±ya pah±tabbo’ti vutto, na te dhamm±. Ubhayampi ceta½ anadhippeta½. 10. ¾cayag±mittike kammakilesehi ±ciyat²ti ±cayo. Paµisandhicutigatippavatt±na½ eta½ n±ma½. Tassa k±raºa½ hutv± nipph±danakabh±vena ta½ ±caya½ gacchanti, yassa v± pavattanti ta½ puggala½ yath±vuttameva ±caya½ gament²tipi ±cayag±mino; s±savakusal±kusal±na½ eta½ adhivacana½. Tato eva ±cayasaªkh±t± cay± apetatt±, nibb±na½ apeta½ cay±ti apacayo. Ta½ ±rammaºa½ katv± pavattanato apacaya½ gacchant²ti apacayag±mino; ariyamagg±nameta½ adhivacana½. 12. Parittattike samantato khaº¹itatt± appamattaka½ parittanti vuccati; ‘paritta½ gomayapiº¹an’ti-±d²su (sa½. ni. 3.96) viya. Imepi app±nubh±vat±ya paritt± viy±ti paritt±; k±m±vacaradhamm±nameta½ adhivacana½. Kilesavikkhambhanasamatthat±ya vipulaphalat±ya d²ghasant±nat±ya ca mahantabh±va½ gat±, mahantehi v± u¼±racchandav²riyacittapaññehi gat± paµipann±tipi mahaggat±. 14. H²nattike h²n±ti l±mak± akusal± dhamm±. H²nappaº²t±na½ majjhe bhav±ti majjhim±. Avases± tebh³mak± dhamm± uttamaµµhena atappakaµµhena ca paº²t±; lokuttar± dhamm±.

Micchattattike ‘hitasukh±vah± me bhavissant²’ti eva½ ±s²sit±pi tath± abh±vato, ‘asubh±d²suyeva subhan’ti-±di vipar²tappavattito ca micch±sabh±v±ti micchatt±; vip±kad±ne sati khandhabhed±nantarameva vip±kad±nato niyat±; micchatt± ca te niyat± c±ti micchattaniyat±.
